The decade of the 2020s started with ACT being dark for the entire 2020 mainstage season. While closed
for the pandemic, there was a change in leadership as Anita Shah moved in as Managing Director. The
first play after the pandemic closure was Hotter Than Egypt, written by Core Company member Yussef el Guindi
- a world premiere.

The Pinter Festival (2012)
A pinnacle experience from ACT's acclaimed Pinter Fortnightly series, The Pinter Festival will take over ACT for more than a month, with plays, readings, films, discussions, and other celebrations of the influential and outspoken British writer. Anchoring the Festival are the full productions of four Pinter plays, including The Dumb Waiter and Celebration (both plays will be performed back to back, separated by an intermission) as well as No Man's Land and Old Times.
Uncle Ho to Uncle Sam (2012)
A Vietnamese boy journeys with his mother from the fall of Saigon to a Viet Cong re-education camp in the jungle, then to a refugee camp in Thailand, and, finally, to America.
